Reinforced lower link ball CAT 3-2 made of hardened 20MnCr5 steel
This CAT 3-2 lower link ball combines the category 3 ball size on the outside with a category 2 inner diameter. It is therefore suitable for applications where a larger catch hook is combined with a smaller pin size.
With this size combination, the forces act externally over a larger ball surface, while the pin contact on the inside must remain especially clean. Hardened 20MnCr5 steel offers a clear advantage here: the surface is more resistant to wear, friction wear and pressure marks that can occur from constant movement in the lower link area.
