Reinforced lower link ball with guide cone CAT 2 made of hardened 20MnCr5 steel
This reinforced lower link ball with guide cone is designed for CAT 2 connections where fast, clean coupling and a wear-resistant ball surface are equally important. The integrated guide cone helps guide the lower link better into the catch hook when reversing and reduces unnecessary repositioning during coupling.
The hardened 20MnCr5 steel provides the decisive advantage at the contact surfaces: pin, ball and catch hook constantly work against each other under load. The hardened surface is more resistant to wear, pressure marks and material loss than simple, softer standard balls. As a result, the ball remains dimensionally accurate for longer and the connection develops play less quickly.
