Reinforced lower link ball with guide cone CAT 3-2 made of hardened 20MnCr5 steel
This CAT 3-2 lower link ball with guide cone combines the category 3 ball size on the outside with a category 2 inner diameter. It is suitable for connections where a larger catch hook is used with a smaller pin size.
With CAT 3-2, the inner bore is especially critical for wear: when the smaller pin size wears in, noticeable play quickly develops. The hardened 20MnCr5 steel reduces material loss at this contact point and helps maintain the dimensional accuracy of the ball for longer.
The guide cone makes it easier to catch the lower link in the larger receiver and ensures more controlled coupling. This is especially advantageous when heavy implements are attached by one person or when the catch hook is not ideally aligned with the implement. The electrochemical coating additionally protects the surface in daily use.
